Our Founder & CEO
Maresa Stuppard
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others."
One of the founder’s favorite quotes by Mahatma Gandhi.
She truly believes and lives by this quote. Maresa is a graduate of Bethune Cookman-University where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She is a Logistics Officer in the United States Army Reserve with one tour, serving her country in Iraq from 2019-2020. She is currently employed with the Department of the Navy at a mental health readiness clinic as a psychiatric technician. Maresa has always given back to her community through mentoring young girls, volunteering with children who have experienced loss & grief, working with adults with mental health disorders, volunteering every summer as a kid at a school with children with various intellectual disabilities, and assisting many other organizations impacting others in the community. Maresa has always felt called to do something greater in this world. A Dollar A Difference Inc. was birthed in one of her prayers in 2018 telling God that she wanted to do more and help people in need. Praying that if she at least had an extra dollar, that it would somehow make a difference in the lives of others. From there A Dollar A Difference Inc. was birthed in her spirit and it is now a reality. Maresa has high hopes for the organization and desires to see it grow and impact the community in a big way.

Deirdre Branick
Board Secretary
Deirdre Branick is a graduate of George Mason University, where she majored in Psychology. She volunteered with nonprofit organizations throughout her years as an undergrad student in Northern Virginia. She assisted and supported both adults and children with mental disorders. After she graduated she returned to her hometown, Hampton, VA, where she worked in Social Services, along with other LPC's, assisting women in low-income communities who needed financial assistance. But specifically, she along with her superiors worked to help the clients emotionally. They provided resources and help to the young women who faced trauma and hardships emotionally. They supported the women as they continued to grow and advance, where they no longer required financial assistance.
After spending several years there, due to Military orders, she along with her husband relocated to Florida, where she spent her first year there as an ESE teacher at a Title 1 School. There she worked with children with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, as well as Autism. She currently works at the VA Medical Center, assisting veterans with help in specific clinics as well as assisting them with consultations. Through these positions, she has learned about treatment plans and how to implement help to specific populations. She is currently completing her MSW at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her hopes are to one day become an LCSW and have her own practice, full of diverse women, where they will provide Behavioral Therapy and support to women and families of all backgrounds.
